Protest by royalists in Kathmandu

Demonstration has taken place in Kathmandu on Saturday demanding restoration of monarchy and Hindu Rashtra Nepal.

Demonstration led by Janata Party Nepal was held at Maitighar saying 'King, come and save country'. Demonstrators marched with Nepal's flag, saying king was needed to liberate country from transition.

Janata Party Nepal said that Nepal was a country ruled by their ancestral king and present leaders had only deceived the country and people and there was no alternative to the monarchy.

Participants in the demonstration chanted slogans such as 'Our king is dearer to our country than life', 'King, come and save the country'. Rally started from Maitighar in Kathmandu and ended at Baneshwor.
