Citizens staged a demonstration at Maitighar in Kathmandu on Saturday saying that House of Representatives cannot be killed and an autocratic government is not needed.
Participants in demonstration carried placards with slogans such as "Sovereignty is collapsing, autocratic government is not needed, stop conspiracies against the constitution".
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Govinda KC said that leaders were greedy for power despite problems of unemployment and corruption in the country. Dr. KC also opined that unconstitutional move of government should be rectified.
After the dissolution of parliament, there have been continuous protests under the banner of 'Non-Violent Civil Demonstration'.
