Nepal Students' Union protest against the dissolvement of the parliament

Leaders and cadres of the Nepali Union who had gathered at Maitighar had walked back to Baneshwor. The protesters also chanted slogans against the government.

Nevisangha president Rajiv Dhungana accused the government of not being accountable to the people and threatening the constitution by dissolving the parliament. He said that the protest was staged as the Prime Minister had acted contrary to the constitution.

Similarly, General Secretary of the Nepali Union Manoj Baidya said that the Nepali Union was constantly protesting against the unconstitutional government.

He further added that the government was not accountable to the people and was trying to push the country into crisis.

After the dissolvement of the House of Representatives by President Bidyadevi Bhandari on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on December 20, the Congress-affiliated Nepal Students' Union has been protesting continuously.
