PCR machine provided to Kanti Bal (Children’s) Hospital

Kathmandu Metropolitan City has provided PCR machine to Kanti Bal (Children’s) Hospital for corona testing.

On Monday, Kathmandu Mahanagar. handed over the machine to director of hospital, Dr. Krishna Prasad Poudel. Machine donated by Nanjing city of China has been handed over to the hospital, said Bidya Sundar Shakya, chief of metropolis.

Mayor Shakya said that machine was provided to the children's hospital as per the plan of metropolis to provide machines received from various organizations and government to government hospitals for the prevention and control of COVID-19.

Shakya also urged hospital to start the service by connecting the machine soon.

Director of hospital, Dr. Poudel said that PCR machine is very important in the current situation and PCR machine will be used in the study of various diseases. Dr. Poudel informed that an oxygen plant will be started in the hospital soon.

Dr. Poudel informed that 32 children have tested positive for corona at Kanti Hospital so far and two have died.
