After the decision of closure of banks in Dashain this year, all the branches of the banks are crowded with customers on Thursday.
Banks have decided not to open their branches from Phulpati in view of corona virus infection. As per the government's instructions, all commercial bank branches will be closed for five days from October 23 to 27.
Bank, which provided services by opening limited bank counters even during holidays in Bada Dashain last year, has decided not to open any bank this year citing the risk of corona virus infection.
Nepal Bankers Association, Chata organization of banks, has decided to close the branches of banks in the coming decade, saying that the number of service recipients may increase if banks would be opened.
At present, banks have been giving priority to ATMs and digital transactions, so this time the service of opening branches by encouraging digital banking has been discontinued.
