New Trains for Nepal Railway arriving at Janakpur Today

Two trains are coming to Nepal today to be operated from Kurtha in Dhanusha to Jayanagar in India.

According to the Railway Department, the train bearing Nepal's national flag purchased from India will reach Janakpur this afternoon.

The railway service, which was closed six years ago in 2071 BS, will now resume operations. The department has stated that the train will be brought into operation after Dashain Tihar by making necessary laws.

The train set was purchased through the Indian state-owned company Konkan Company.The Railway Department has opened the application for the appointment of 129 employees only three days ago.

The last date for filling the form for the employees is 12 Asoj. It has been said that the railway will be operational within Asoj after the recruitment of staff.

Some technical teams will be brought from India to operate the train. Physical infrastructure of 35 km long railway from Jayanagar to Kurtha of Dhanusha has already been constructed.  

17 additional kilometers from Kurtha to Bijalpurakhand will be completed to extend the existing length to make a total of 52 kilometers.
