10 thousand PCR test per day from 15th of Asar
Minister of Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal has claimed that 10,000 people will be tested every day from June 30.
Replying to a question raised by the lawmakers in the House of Representatives on Monday, Health Minister Dhakal said that 10,000 tests would be conducted every day by increasing the testing scope of PCR.
He said that big machines will be connected in all the states by July 30.He claimed that Nepal is in a good position in Asia in terms of testing and mentioned that it will be better than Bhutan in testing in a few days.
]Minister Dhakal said that the RDT test was not used to detect the infection but only for screening. Dhakal said that Rs 10 billion has been spent for the prevention and control of corona.
Stating that only 641 local level expenses were included in it, he said that it was also spent for internal work since the quarantine was made.
Dhakal said that PCR test will be done after death to find out whether the deceased is infected with corona virus or not. Minister Dhakal informed that 257,962 corona health tests have been done so far and 1,971 PCR methods have been tested.
