New Lockdown in Europe

Many European countries have announced new lockdown and sanction, saying coronavirus infection has spread. Meanwhile, Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee has banned foreign spectators from visiting Japan, saying Games should be held in a safe manner.

New sanctions have been imposed in parts of Poland, France and Ukrainian capital. Most shops are closed and people are urged to work from home.

Demonstrations have also taken place in various parts of Europe to protest government's ban on Covid-19. A large group of angry protesters took to the streets in German city of Kassel. Police personnel and there is a clash. There have also been demonstrations in Listel, Switzerland and London.

Protesters in Kassel took to the streets with placards saying, "Stop lockdown." In Africa, Madagascar's President Andrei Razolina has criticized vaccination campaign, saying it is a coronavirus vaccine.

Coronavirus infection, which has been appearing for some time, has been reactivated recently. Coronavirus infections worldwide increased by 14 percent in the past week, according to data compiled by AFP.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has also been spotted two days after he was vaccinated against Chinese synopsis. Spokesman for prime minister said Khan was currently in isolation and had only normal symptoms.

In France, more than a third of population lives in lockdown. But this lockdown is not as severe as in the past. Schools are open, salons and chocolate shops are open.

Controversy over the AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid has not yet been resolved. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has warned European countries not to give priority to vaccines and to stop all exports if they are not stopped.
