President Biden pays tribute in memory of the dead by Corona

Death toll from corona in the United States has reached half a million.

That's the same number of Americans killed in Korea, Vietnam and World War II, according to international media reports.

President Joe Biden held a ceremony at the White House to light candles in memory of the dead. Biden has also instructed to hoist the flag at half-mast in US government buildings for the next five days.

At the event, tributes were paid to the deceased and President and Vice President observed a moment of silence.

Speaking on behalf of his countrymen, President Biden said that 500,071 deaths had reached sad and heartbreaking milestone.

"None of the people we lost are ordinary," said Biden. They were extraordinary. Some of them were born in the United States or left their country to come to the United States.

So far, 28.8 million people have been infected with corona in the United States.
