Lockdown in Greece

Greece has announced another lockdown. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has announced a complete lockdown in capital, Athens. Greek Prime Minister announced lockdown in Athens on Tuesday after Corona virus spread rapidly.

Athens, capital of about half country's population, is home to more than 10 million people. International media quoted officials as saying that lockdown was recommended to avoid further humanitarian crises due to large population pressure.

Lockdown will take effect from today, February 119, until the end of this month. All schools in area have been closed since lockdown, and students have returned to online classes.
