Human chain demonstration at Tundikhel

CPN-Prachanda-Nepal faction has staged a human chain demonstration at Tundikhel in Kathmandu on Thursday against the dissolution of House of Representatives.

Stating that move of Prime Minister KP Oli to dissolve parliament was retrograde, CPN (Maoist) leader Pampha Bhushal said that protest was staged as a symbolic human chain under pre-announced struggle program.

Central level leaders for human chain as well as leaders and activists of various people's organizations were present.

Participants in human chain displayed placards with slogans such as 'Reject unconstitutional dissolution of House of Representatives, control rising prices, and where corruption is rampant'. CPN (Maoist) leader Bhushal said that he was in a street struggle against Prime Minister's move.

Human chain started at 4 pm and ended at 5 pm. CPN-Prachanda-Nepal faction had announced the program of the fourth phase of the agitation on March 20.

According to Bhushal, demonstrations will be held in all the districts till March 26 and signatures will be collected in the meantime.
