Dahal-Nepal group demonstrating in Kathmandu today

Dahal-Nepal faction of CPN (Maoist) protesting against the dissolution of House of Representatives is demonstrating in Kathmandu today. Earlier, there was a demonstration in Kathmandu on 22 January  and a nationwide general strike on February 10.

Dahal-Nepal group, which has been staging protests since the dissolution of House of Representatives by President Vidhyadevi Bhandari on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, is going to hold a protest rally at Bhrikuti Mandap.

CPN (Maoist) has stated that it will take out processions from Pulchowk, Maitighar Mandala, Keshar Mahal, Tripureshwor and Jamal of Lalitpur before the protest at 12 noon.

Each procession will be led by top leaders. Main procession before the protest will start from Sundhara and will turn into a rally at Bhrikuti Mandap. Unified procession will be led by Presidents Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The group claims that more than 200,000 people will participate in today's protest.
