Corona infections down 17 percent: WHO

Number of people infected with corona virus worldwide has dropped by 17 percent. According to World Health Organization (WHO), last week's report showed a drop in the number of infected people.

In past week, 3.1 million new cases of HIV have been reported, according to CNN. That number is down 17 percent from previous week, said WHO.

About 15 weeks ago, number of infected people was the lowest since October. Number of infected people is declining in African countries as well as in the United States and European countries, according to WHO.

Similarly, more than 88,000 people have died worldwide in past week. This number is also 10 percent less than previous week.
