China admits five of its soldiers killed in violent clashes in Ladakh

China has admitted that five of its soldiers were killed in a clash between Indian troops and Chinese troops in Galwan valley of the Sino-Indian border region of Ladakh.

China accepted it about eight months later. Violent clashes erupted in Ladakh on the night of June 15 last year. Twenty Indian soldiers were killed.

Chinese state media quoted the Central Military Commission as saying that five soldiers had been killed in clashes with India on Friday.
