In an interaction with the civil society held in Kathmandu on Thursday against the dissolution of the House of Representatives, the CPN (Nepal) said that the Prime Minister had attacked democracy and the constitution and urged all to unite against the Prime Minister's move.
He said that there was a problem in the party as Prime Minister Oli was not following the party's rules and regulations.
He said that the Prime Minister did not want to come to the party meeting even though he wanted to solve all the problems by holding a meeting within the party.
Similarly, senior CPN (Maoist) leader Jhala Nath Khanal said that the constitution could be saved only by re-establishing the parliament. "Now is the time to defend the constitution and democracy," he said.
Speaking on the occasion, former speaker Daman Nath Dhungana said that the government is
threatening the court and such acts should be stopped immediately. He said that the entire CPN (Maoist) was responsible for the dissolution of the parliament along with Oli.
Similarly, human rights activist Krishna Pahadi said that a joint movement was needed against Oli's unconstitutional move.
Former member of the National Human Rights Commission Mohana Ansari said that people were living in uneasiness due to the struggle of political parties. Former Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dipendra Chhetri said that Prime Minister Oli was surrounded by impractical people.
