Lumbini provincial government would not change: Baijnath Chaudhary

Baijnath Chaudhary, spokesperson of the Lumbini state government and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, has said that the Lumbini state government is out of all the changes being made.

Speaking in an interview program organized by Reporter Club Nepal Lumbini Provincial Office in Butwal on Monday, Minister Chaudhary said that the Lumbini provincial government would not change even if a no-confidence motion was registered against other provincial governments.

Stating that there was no such thing in Lumbini as rumored in various media, he said that no leader or lawmaker had come against the Chief Minister with a no-confidence motion.

Chaudhary, who is also the spokesperson, said that there was no alternative but to go for a fresh mandate to save the country from the crisis as Prachanda had embarrassed the party's Prime Minister Oli by filing serious charges like criminal charges within his own party.

Similarly, Nepali Congress Lumbini State Advisor Nirmala Chhetri commented that the dissolvement of the parliament was unconstitutional and undemocratic. Chhetri said that a writ has been registered in the Supreme Court on the issue of dissolvement of the parliament and the writ is under consideration.

On the occasion, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) leader Sahar Ram Yadav demanded the restoration of the parliament.
