MoHp instructs hospitals not to take extra charges on pretext of Covid-19

Ministry of Health and Population has instructed private hospitals to refrain from charging additional charges from patients in the name of health care services and corona virus.

The Ministry made its view clear as comments on additional fees charge by some private hospitals were reported in the recent time.

Assistant Spokesperson of the Ministry Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari said that the hospitals would face law and get punished as per the laws if they were found collecting extra and unnecessary charges from the patients in the name of  Covid-19.

Ministry has drawn serious attention to this issue as few private hospitals were found and reported collecting additional fees in all sorts of health care services under the pretext of Covid-19, Dr Adhikari said issuing a notice.
