Long Life Puja was Offered to Lama Zopa Rinpoche on December 25. This is special White Tara Long Life Puja.
Starting from 18th December for seven days sadhana was conducted leading up to the actual puja on the 25th December. Khadro Namsel Drönme and senior monks of Kopan hosted the ritual. Many hours of preparation practices were conducted at Kopan Monastery in order to make the long life puja as powerful.
Khandro la and Rinpoche Geshe Chonyi presided on bestowal of long-life ritual.
The purpose of the long-life puja is for students to purify the mistakes that occur in relation to their teacher, and to create the causes and conditions to continue to receive benefit from that teacher for a very long time.
Zopa Rinpoche said that it is a certainty when a related people genuinely dedicate something it has power to make great impact. Since long life puja was being offered by sangha with dharmic collection, this will help a lot.
White Taran is manifestations of Tara who is white in colour and associated with Health, Healing and Compassion and long life practices.
