Amendment of the Act to provide allowances to those who have missed out on allowances from 2075 BS

The government has amended the Social Security Act 2075 through an ordinance to provide allowances to those who should have received social allowance and those who have received it in the past.

Announcing the decision of the cabinet, government spokesperson Parbat Gurung said that the ordinance was brought to benefit thousands of people deprived of allowances.

Minister Gurung mentioned that the ordinance has opened the way to provide allowances to the disabled, single women and those who have received allowances in the past but have been deprived of the allowances after the promulgation of the 2075 Act.

He also said that the Ministry of Agriculture has been given approval to purchase 50,000 metric tonnes of chemical fertilizer from the Bangladesh government.

Similarly, it has been decided to extend the tenure of the National Reconstruction Authority for one year.

Spokesperson Gurung informed that it has been decided to waive the renewal of driver's license and inspection of public vehicles under the jurisdiction of the association and the renewal of route license if it is delayed till mid-December, 2077.

He said that a decision has also been taken to approve the order regarding the quality and standard of food items and the safety and regulation order for transportation of petroleum products from the pipeline.
