Bada Dashain which is celebrated grandly by Nepalese, has been immersed on Saturday.
The deposit kept in Dashainghar on the day of Ghatsthapana was immersed on Saturday. Jamara placed in Bramhrayani Durgapith, Dashain Ghar and people's houses has been immersed in rivers, lakes and streams on Saturday.
Durga faction was bid farewell by worshiping Goddess Mahalakshmi on Friday evening on the Kojagrat Purnima celebrated on the full moon day.
According to the Nepal Panchang Adjudicating Committee, this year's Kojagrat Purni falls on a Friday but the full moon fast falls on a Saturday. It is also taken as a sign of the end of Dashain and beginning of Tihar.
From Ashwin Shukla Purnima to Kartik Shukla Purnima, after bathing in Kartik, Tulsi Puja is performed from house to house. It is believed that Ashwin Shukla will be freed from the great sin by taking a bath from the full moon.
Meanwhile, Nepal Army has dismantled Jamara placed in Dashainghar on the day of Ghatsthapana by offering salute on Saturday.
