Another 2,824 people were confirmed to be infected with corona in Nepal on Sunday.
During the tests conducted in different parts of country, corona was confirmed in 2,824 people, said a spokesperson of Ministry of Health and Population, Prof. Dr. Jageshwar Gautam informed.
According to him, corona was seen in another 1,622 people in Kathmandu Valley on Sunday. Out of which, 1,362 corona infections have been added in Kathmandu, 96 in Bhaktapur and 164 in Lalitpur.
At the same time, number of corona cases in Nepal has reached 173,567, said spokesperson Gautam. Another 23 people have died due to corona, while 960 people have died due to corona so far, said ministry spokesperson Gautam.
According to him, another 3,620 infected people have been discharged on Sunday and so far 134,842 infected people have been cured. Currently, number of active infected people is 37,765.
Currently, there are 2,386 people in quarantine. Ministry has informed that 1.456 million PCR samples have been tested in Nepal so far.
