Agreement to end dispute within Congress party and move forward with unity

Meeting of Nepali Congress office bearers and former office bearers has agreed to end the dispute within party and move forward with unity.

Stating that meeting held at the residence of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkantha was to break the mistrust among leaders, it was agreed to move forward with unity, said Congress Joint General Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat.

Mahat said that Central Working Committee will meet in a few days to decide the course of action to move work of the convention forward.

Mahat also mentioned that dispute over the distribution of active membership and integration of leaders and cadres from other parties has almost been resolved.

For the past few days, Congress office-bearers and former office-bearers have been sitting on the issue of ending dispute within party.

After 27 central members, including senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, registered a 16-point letter of disagreement at party office, there was a dispute within party.

Meanwhile, meeting of Central Working Committee of Nepali Congress (NC) scheduled to be held on Monday has been postponed. Meeting is scheduled to be held on November 12 due to corona infection in central members.
