104 arrested in protest against lockdown

British capital London, agitating against government’s issued lockdown has been arrested 104 people.

Metropolitan police officials said they had been arrested for violating curfew. Thousands protested Thursday as the government announced a second nationwide lockdown as corona virus spread.

Ploice officers had warned protestors to go to their house. They were arrested for disobeying instructions. Police Commander John Connors said those arrested had been arrested for violating curfew to prevent spreading of corona virus.

"Our main responsibility is to keep London safe. For that, we have enforced a no-crowd rule. Some people have disobeyed it, so they have been arrested," said Police commander John Connors.

During the nearly eight-month-long epidemic, the UK has been hit hard several times and its condition has been loosened and tightened.

A few weeks ago, when the epidemic started to increase again, government announced to tighten the lockdown again. World Health Organization has declared an epidemic of corona virus worldwide since March 11.

According to the organization, 49 million 56 thousand 664 people have been infected worldwide due to the epidemic so far.

Similarly, 12 lakh 39 thousand 991 people have died due to corona and 35 million one thousand 624 people have been infected with corona virus and have now been released.

Number of people still infected with corona virus worldwide is 12.8 million 15 thousand 49. Only about one percent of them are in critical condition.
