Tika's bustle less than last year

According to the Vedic method, on the occasion of Dashain, Nepalese have celebrated Dashain by putting tika to each other.

After reciting Durga Saptasati (Chandi) till the ninth day of the month, special worship of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati was performed.

Carrying mental and social message that truth triumphs over untruth, this festival celebrates the glory of Dashain from any religious, social, economic and cultural angle.

It is celebrated every year as a fair to establish cordial relations between relatives and friends.

But this year, due to the risk of corona infection, general public has celebrated Dashain from their homes. Despite the tradition of going to the family and relatives for tika after tika in the family, number of people going out for tika this year is less than last year.

Due to the risk of corona infection, number of people going out for tika is less on the streets. Dashain, which started from Ghatsthapana, ends on the day of Kojagrat Punirma.
