Three Advisors to PM Oli infected with Covid-19. Is the PM infection Free?

Three advisers to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli have confirmed that they have been infected with the coronavirus.

Chief Political Adviser Bishnu Rimal and Foreign Affairs Advisor Rajan Bhattarai and Press Adviser Surya Thapa said they had contracted the disease through Facebook.

Surya Thapa wrote on Facebook: "Yesterday's PCR test showed corona-positive in me. In the meantime, I urge all friends who have been in contact with me to take special care."

Earlier, Divya Singh Shah, a doctor closely associated with the Prime Minister's regular health, had also been infected. Speaking to the BBC, Thapa said he had no symptoms and was living in isolation at home.

What is the condition of the Prime Minister?

Press Adviser Surya Thapa told the BBC that the Prime Minister was being tested for coronavirus from time to time.

"The prime minister's swab was not taken during our test yesterday. According to the doctors' advice, the prime minister can also be re-examined."

Meanwhile, adviser Thapa said that the Prime Minister had limited his meetings and used caution even when they did meet.

But when Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli addressed a program online on Friday, a picture of Press Adviser Surya Thapa sitting next to him was seen on his Twitter account.

Thapa wore a mask but the Prime Minister did not.

A personal secretary to the prime minister, security personnel from Baluwatar and a driver were among those infected.
