A team from District Administration Office, Kathmandu has monitored pharmacies operating inside the private hospital in Kathmandu.
On Sunday, a team led by Assistant CDO of Administration Office monitored pharmacies operating within Bharosa Hospital, Venus Hospital and Everest Hospital in Kathmandu.
In the process, monitoring team got information about the management of drugs, whether they were expired or not. Monitoring team found expired and non-expired medicines and garbage inside the pharmacy.
Assistant Chief District Officer of Administration Office, Kalpana Ghimire Nepal, informed that instructions have been given to correct the errors found in pharmacies. Ghimire said that administration has been informed to make improvements within a week.
Monitoring team has stated that pharmacies are also weak in the management of expired drugs. Administration office has expedited the monitoring of food, transport and medicine sectors.
