‘Frightening Situation has been created by Covid-19’ - Nepal Medical Association

Nepal Medical Association has drawn the attention of the government saying that a frightening situation has been created due to Covi-19 infection spreading in the community.

Stating that the number of infected people has reached one lakh 21 thousand 745 and 694 people have died in the country, the union has demanded that the government should provide essential medicines easily.

"The Nepal Medical Association has drawn serious attention to the fact that the infection has entered the community level and created a frightening situation," he said.

Badri Rijal said in a The association has expressed grief over the lack of beds, ICUs and ventilators, oxygen and remedicivir and other essential medicines in the hospitals of the cities including the Valley.

The union has demanded that the government should be sensitive in this regard and take effective steps immediately.

It’s statement reads, ‘The Nepal Medical Association urges the Government of Nepal to create a conducive environment for the health treatment of all citizens and to provide ICU beds, ventilators, oxygen, remedicivir and other essential medicines required for the infection of Covid-19.’
