Demonstration in Kathmandu saying government looks weak

Akhil Krantikari, a pro-Maoist party led by Mohan Baidya, staged a protest in Kathmandu on Friday, saying government was weak on issues of national independence and livelihood.

On Friday, a demonstration was held at Maitighar in Kathmandu against All-Revolutionary Government. The organization alleges that government has not been able to do anything even after Nepali land was encroached by neighboring countries.

Similarly, government has not been able to work effectively amid Corona epidemic, while the education sector has collapsed, the organization said.

Saying that the incidents of murder, violence and rape have increased in the country, Sangan chairperson Harikrishna Gajurel said that they had to protest as the government has not taken effective steps to stop it.

The group said it would continue to warn government against interference in national independence, education and health problems, and rape and murder.
