Professors have surrounded the office of Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University in protest of beating of Prem Chalaune.
On Thursday, professors from Nepal Progressive Teachers Association and Nepal National Teachers Association surrounded Vice Chancellor's office.
Professors have protested saying that they have not been arrested for three days even though a group attacked the running of associate professor inside Kirtipur-based university on September 8. Professors have demanded that the university take the incident seriously and bring the culprit to justice.
On Thursday, professors handed over a memorandum to Vice Chancellor Dharmakanta Baskota and warned to carry out further agitation if the university does not take initiative to bring the culprits under the purview of law.
