Even though government offices are open from Wednesday, the attendance of employees is low. On Thursday, the second day of government office, number of employees in the office was low.
Departments of various ministries and government offices around Singha Durbar, mainly from Ministry of Singha Durbar, which is considered as the main administrative center of country, have been deserted.
Risk has increased with the return of employees who went to their homes amidst the risk of corona.
Even though there is no clear policy directive of government on whether the employees who have returned after celebrating Dashain should come to the office after quarantine for a few days or come directly to the office.
This year's Dashain holiday is over from Tuesday. All government offices should be open from Wednesday, but the offices are empty on Thursday.
A smaller number of people left Kathmandu Valley to celebrate Dashain this year than last year.
