A further 1,954 people were confirmed to have corona infection in Nepal on Wednesday.
During the tests conducted in different parts of the country, corona was confirmed in 1,954 people, said a spokesperson of Ministry of Health and Population, informed Dr. Jageshwar Gautam.
According to him, corona was seen in another 843 people in Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday. Out of which, 696 corona infections have been added in Kathmandu, 29 in Bhaktapur and 118 in Lalitpur.
At the same time, number of corona cases in Nepal has reached 162,354, said spokesperson Gautam. Similarly, 11 more people have died due to corona and so far 887 people have died due to corona, said ministry spokesperson Gautam.
According to him, another 2,981 infected people have been discharged on Wednesday, while 1,21,824 infected people have been cured so far. Currently, number of active infected people is 39,643.
Currently, there are 2,889 people in quarantine. Ministry has informed that 1.49 million PCR samples have been tested in Nepal so far.
