PCR at 2500 at Seti Hospital

Two thousand five hundred has been fixed for PCR tests conducted at Seti Hospital. The PCR test is going to be done at half the fee prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Population. The Ministry of Health has set a maximum fee of Rs 4,400.

Dr. Hemraj Pandey, chief medical superintendent of the hospital, said that those who want to be tested for possible corona infection voluntarily without a prescription from the government can do so by paying a fee of Rs 2,500.

He said that the fee was fixed by the Ministry of Health and Population, Emergency Operations Center and the state government, Ministry of Social Development and the decision of the Hospital Management Committee Working Committee.

In the case of contact tracing victims, the government has been conducting free PCR testing. He said that Seti Hospital has made this arrangement for voluntary testing.

Earlier, private laboratories in Kathmandu have been conducting PCR tests at a maximum cost of Rs 4,000. At present, PCR testing is being conducted in 47 government and private laboratories across the country.
