Contingency action plan for school education made public

 

Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is preparing to implement the contingency action plan related to school education.

Speaking at a press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel said that the contingency action plan 2077 on school education has been approved by the cabinet meeting held on September 17.

Minister Pokharel informed that the contingency action plan has emphasized on data collection of the relocated students and ensuring availability of textbooks for all the children.

Likewise, Minister Pokharel said that the action plan includes the development of framework, model self-learning and learning materials for the subjects to be taught to the students in the academic session.

Minister Pokharel said that the three levels of government as well as schools, social and non-governmental organizations and the private sector have an important role to play in the implementation process of the action plan.

Minister Pokharel said that the Ministry of Education will act as a body of the federal government in managing the budget required for the implementation of the action plan, coordination for resource sharing, material development and management, and overall facilitation.
