Bangladesh agrees to let Nepal borrow Fertilizers

Bangladesh has agreed to supply 50,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizer to Nepal. The manure demanded by Nepal is to be provided by Bangladesh.

During the talks between the Prime Ministers of the two countries, Bangladesh agreed to provide fertilizer.

"They had agreed in informal discussions about a month ago, but once the talks were held at the prime ministerial level, the Bangladeshi Ministry of Agriculture wanted to discuss and we are going to take the manure," said Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Ghanshyam Bhusal.

According to the agreement, Nepal will purchase and return the fertilizers later.
