Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed to open all branches and counters of banks to collect revenue.
Branches have been opened after collecting instructions from all the banks and financial institutions, including National Bank, to collect revenue from Tuesday to Thursday.
NRB has directed to make arrangements for opening of revenue collecting and clearing counters of the bank and Nepal Clearing House Limited.
Only a limited number of bank branches are operating in the Kathmandu Valley for the prevention and control of corona virus.
Entrepreneurs, however, have demanded the government to extend the deadline for paying excise duty, income tax and value added tax (VAT) due to the long lockdown.
