Lalitpur Metropolitan City has given impetus to road construction in the city.
Metropolis has expedited construction of roads up to 800 meters. Mahagar is constructing 92 roads in different phases. Chief of Mahagar Chiribabu Maharjan laid the foundation stone of 21 roads under phase 3 on Thursday.
The construction of 19 roads is being completed under the first phase and 15 roads are being constructed under the second phase.
In the third phase, 21 roads are being constructed at a cost of Rs 268.8 million, according to the metropolis.
Destroying the road, Maharjan informed that metropolis is constructing the road as per the demand from the concerned ward.
Maharjan said that work is being done to check the quality by appointing consultants to prevent any shortfall in quality.
Metropolis has stated that 37 ward roads will be constructed under phase four. Earlier, metropolis had started the work of installing 'smart' lights on the main roads of the metropolis.
