Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty is under investigation for drug use and trafficking. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is investigating her in judicial custody.
During the statement, Rhea has already admitted that she used drugs. She also admitted that her ex-boyfriend and Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput used drugs.
Rhea also mentioned the names of 25 other Bollywood actors who used to take drugs with her. According to Indian media, NCB will also conduct necessary investigations on those Bollywood actors.
Rhea has revealed in her statement that some heroes, heroines and filmmakers are also using drugs. Actress Chakraborty said that it was the filmmakers who gave Sushant drugs like cocaine and heroin.
According to Indian media, Rhea has named actress Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, fashion designer Simon Khambata, casting director Mukesh Chhabada and others.
However, NCB has not made public any of the names taken by Rhea.
Rakul was Riya's gym partner. They both used to come and go together in the gym in Mumbai many times. As soon as Rakul’s name became public, she is being discussed on social media.
NCB officials have been claiming that they have found strong evidence against Rhea. NCB officials have claimed that half a kilo of drugs went from Risha's house to Sushant's house through courier during lockdown.
Sushant's house employee Deepesh Sawant had given the parcel to the courier boy. Which was delivered to Rhea's house. And Rhea's brother Shovik understood the parcel.
Marijuana was sent along with some household items so that no one would suspect. During lockdown, a courier was sent to prevent police arrest.
If convicted, Rhea could face up to 20 years in prison. There is an Indian legal provision of up to one year imprisonment for possession of small quantity of drugs, 10 years imprisonment for possession of more than that and up to 20 years imprisonment for commercial purposes.
NCB has claimed that Rhea is a drug dealer and user from a commercial point of view.
