The Union Home Ministry has given Y-grade security to Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut after her conflict with Indian Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.
After Kangana's father demanded protection for his daughter, Himachal Pradesh had also announced to provide protection to Kangana Ranaut.
According to the online version of Zee News, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jayaram Thakur has declared security for her trip to Mumbai.
She has also been provided security by the Union Home Ministry amid growing controversy over the state's decision to provide security to Kangana during her visit to Mumbai.
Citing a Home Ministry source, the news said Kangana will have two personal security officers and 11 security personnel.
Kangana had claimed that she had received a lot of threats after a dispute between Kangana and Indian Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.
After Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, Kangana, who has been constantly questioning the work of the Mumbai Police, had tweeted a few days ago.
In which she wrote - ‘After the death of an actor, I am raising my voice about the drug and film mafia jacket. I don't trust the Mumbai police
because the Mumbai police had ignored Sushant Singh's complaint. Sushant had told the police that a man had threatened to kill him before his death. However, he was killed.
That is why I feel insecure about the Mumbai police. 'Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut's response to Kangana's tweet was:' If you are afraid of the Mumbai police, don't come to Mumbai. '
The ruling Shiv Sena party had issued a statement saying that Kangana had come to Mumbai and gained everything and insulted the Mumbai police saying wrong things against the police.
It had also demanded that she should be criticized. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay also said that Kangana should apologize for speaking against Maharashtra and that Kangana was suffering from mental illness.
As the controversy escalated, Shiv Sena supporters threatened Kangana not to return to Mumbai and protested against her.
After this, Kangana had posted that Sanjay had threatened her. Kangana posted a video. Where she said - ‘You are threatening me not to come to Mumbai. I am coming to Mumbai on September 9. We will meet there.
After receiving security from the state, Kangana thanked Home Minister Amit Shah saying that he had respected an Indian girl.
