Saudi Arabia to open border crossings

Saudi Arabia has decided to open the country's border crossings. On Monday, Saudi Arabia said it was preparing to open a border crossing for its citizens and non-Saudi nationals.

A government statement said people could now enter Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Passport Directorate will now allow entry for non-Saudi nationals as well. At the same time, the road is open for people to come to Saudi Arabia by road from neighboring countries.

Non-Saudi nationals are required to show a certificate of negative corona virus test issued 48 hours prior to entry into Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia's customs department has also decided to ease restrictions on coronavirus infections.

The government has made it mandatory for non-Saudi nationals to show the required documents before entering the country. In addition, people coming to Saudi Arabia with their families have to approve the application online.
