Karnali highway that had been closed for a week due to continuous rains has opened. But the risks are still there in the rainy season
As there is no bridge over Takulla river of the Kalikot road section and above Khallaghat where there might be a problem with the bridge in case of rain.
There were landslides in about 50 places including Dahikhola, Kalekhola, Jitegad, Hulm, Molfa, Pili, Serabada, Chaukhola, Takulla, Baligad, Bhansigonda, Timurevid, Khallagad, Dhanda and Ranchuli Bhigmal of the Kalikot section of the highway.
