At least 14 people have been killed and 16 others are missing in floods and landslides in Karnali and far-western states. The worst-hit district is Achham in the far-western region.
At least six people have been killed and 11 others are missing after the Kailash River overflowed in Ramaroshan village of Achham district. According to DSP Yogendra Singh Thapa of the District Police Office, Achham, only three bodies have been identified
According to the police, Gauri Shah, 24, Chandra Saud, 52, and Navin Saud, 12, of Ramaroshan have been identified. According to DSP Thapa, the bodies of two persons were found in Mangalsen Municipality-3, one in Mangalsen-10, two in Bannigadhi-Jayagarh Municipality-8 and one in Ramroshan Municipality-4. He said one of the bodies was found without a head.
Ganga Saud, 55, of Ramaroshan-5 and her son Rupesh, 18, have gone missing due to the floods. The body of Ganga's youngest son Navin, 12, has been found. Bimadevi Saud of the same ward, her daughter-in-law Kavita and her 6-year-old granddaughter have gone missing, said Ramaroshan Village Chairman Jhankar Bahadur Saud.
According to Chairman Saud, Amar Shah, 45, and his wife Pavitra Shah, 35, have gone missing in the floods. Similarly, Vashudevi Saud, 37, Nanda Singh Saud, 45, and his wife Gangadevi Saud, 42, are missing.
Similarly, Lalsara Shahi, 40, of Panchadewal Binay Municipality and her son Basanta, 12, have gone missing after being swept away by the floods. According to locals, they had been living and trading in Ramaroshan-5, Sainibazar.

The flood that came in Kailash River at 12 pm has washed away 22 houses and shops in Ramaroshan Gaonpalika-5 and Sainibazar. "There was less rain at the bottom, more rain at the top, so the river flooded," said Chairman Saud. Six houses are also at risk in Khattekholi near Sainibazar.
Security personnel have reached Sainibazar by helicopter to search for those missing in the floods. Chief District Officer of Achham Gokarna Prasad Upadhyaya said that security personnel were engaged in the search.
Brothers die in landslide in Bajhang
Two people have been killed and four others injured when a landslide buried a house in Midi village of Bungal Municipality-5 in Bajhang district. The landslide that took place at around 1 pm on Tuesday has destroyed the house of local Pratap Tamrakar.
His sons Sachin Tamrakar, 12, and Sudip Okheda, 6, died in the landslide, said Inspector Lokendra Singh Karki of the District Police Office. Sudip, who hails from Bungal-4, Tirthabagar, had come to his aunt's house a few days ago.

Two killed in floods in Bajura

Three killed, one missing in Dailekh
Three people have died and one is missing in a natural disaster in Dailekh. Janak Kathayat, 11, of Gairagaun in Thantikandh Gaunpalika-4 died when a landslide buried his house on Tuesday night. Lokesh Kathayat, 12, has gone missing. Tikaram Kathayat and his son Shamsher Kathayat have been rescued.
The house of Gamma Nepali in Garigaun has also been buried by the landslide. Neighbors have rescued him while he was buried. Assistant Chief District Officer Indra Bahadur Chhetri said that the three critically injured were rescued from a Nepal Army helicopter and sent to Surkhet for treatment.
Chairman of Thantikandh Village Municipality Dhir Bahadur Shahi said that 15 families of Bisalla have been relocated after the landslide endangered the village.
Bal Bahadur Rawat died when his house collapsed due to continuous rain in Dailekh Bhagwatimai Gaonpalika-5 Katti. DSP Hari Bahadur Oli of the District Police Office Dailekh said that the other members of the family escaped as they slept in a separate house.
Similarly, 21-year-old Bhavilal Budha died after being swept away by a river in Naumule Gaonpalika-5. However, his family members have demanded an investigation saying that it was murder.
Four missing after landslide in Kalikott
Four members of two families have gone missing in a landslide in Rupasa of Narharinath village municipality-5 in Kalikot district. Four persons have gone missing after the houses of a local wealthy cooperative and Tule cooperative were flooded.
According to DSP Shyambabu Olia of District Police Office, Kalikot, 60-year-old Chandra Sahakari, his daughter-in-law Pamphadevi, 30, local Bhim Sahakari, 30, and their son Ramit, 9, have gone missing in the landslide. "A team of 31 security personnel, including the Armed Forces, Nepal Army and Janpath Police, has been deployed from the district headquarters to search for those missing in the landslide," he said.
Girl dies in house collapse in Surkhet
A girl has died when a house collapsed in Gandra, Simta Gaonpalika-1 of Surkhet. A two-year-old girl was killed when her house collapsed. There were 10 families in the house. Another nine people were injured, said Karnali State Police Office spokesperson Rajesh Nath Banstola.
In Jajarkot, floods swept away ward offices and bridges
The ward office building of Shivalaya Gaonpalika-6 was washed away by the flood in Jajarkot on Wednesday morning. The river has also washed away the bridge.
