Five More Armed Police Test Positive for Covid-19 in Illam

In Ilam, five armed policemen have tested positive for corona. Of the 15 people whose swab was collected on July 26, five tested positive for the infection.

All the armed police are working in the number one battalion of the Armed Police Force at the district headquarters.

Sudir Jung Thapa of the Armed Police Force's 1st Battalion said that preparations were being made to bring them to Gothgaon in Morang for further treatment.

Recently, the security personnel of Ilam have started to be tested positive for the infection. Even before this, five people have been infected. Today, 10 members of the Armed Police Force have been infected.

The Ilam Bazaar has not been patrolled regularly since the Armed Police Force confirmed the corona infection in five police members on July 25.

Thapa informed that the five people confirmed with infection today are also in self-quarantine. He said that the reports of 40 people are yet to come and preparations are being made to collect the swabs of 40 more people.

Earlier, 35 people were infected in Ilam. The number of corona infected people has reached 40 after the infection was confirmed in five people.
