Army performs final rites of women found infected with Covid-19 after death

The final rites of a  70 year old woman of Kohalpur Municipality-2 who was found to be infected by Covid-19 after death  has been conducted.

According to Banke Chief District Officer Ram Bahadur Kurumbang, the woman died at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur. The deceased had a chest infection and was suffering from pneumonia. She was brought to the hospital on Shrawan 23.

After Corona's suspicion, the hospital collected swabs on the same day and sent it to the PCR lab of Bheri Hospital for testing. Corona was confirmed only after her death, said Dinesh Shrestha, deputy director of Kohalpur Teaching Hospital.

At the same time, the number of deaths due to corona infection in Banke has reached three. Earlier, a man from Narainapur and a woman from Baijnath had died in Banke.

Nepal Army performed the final rites of the deceased.
