Coronavirus infection has so far killed 191 Nepalis abroad. As of Saturday evening, 264 Nepalis have died from coronavirus in different countries including Nepal.
According to Dr. Sanjeev Sapkota, coordinator of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Health Committee, Nepalis living in India, Australia, Belgium, Poland, France, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have been infected this week. Compared to last week, the rate of corona infection has decreased in the Middle East countries including Qatar and UAE.
In Australia alone, 146 Nepalis have been infected this week. Nepalis in 38 countries of the world are infected with coronavirus. Of them, Nepalis in 16 countries have died due to corona.
Apart from Nepal, Nepalis living in the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Ireland, Japan, Turkey, Netherlands, Sweden, India, South Africa and other countries have died due to coronavirus.
So far, 55,925 people, including in Nepal, have been infected by Covid-19. Of them 47,437 have recovered.
