Supreme Court Refuses to Give an Interim Order as Sought by Sarita Giri

The Supreme Court has ruled that it is not necessary to issue an interim order on the decision of her party to dismiss Sarita Giri.

Judges Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Dr. Krishna Kumar said that the action was taken in accordance with the party's constitution and law. Ananda Mohan Bhattarai's bench has ordered that the rest of the issues be clarified during the resolution of the issue.

The party had taken action against Giri for  violating the whip given by her party, Samajwadi Party, to vote in favor of the proposed amendment to the constitution.

She was relieved of her post as a parliamentarian as she was not a party member any more. Giri had gone to the supreme court against the action taken by the party against her.
