Today is the 42nd Memorial Day of Comrade Pushpalal, the Founder General of the Communist Party of Nepal.
On this occasion, I pay my heartfelt tribute to Comrade Pushpalal, the first Nepali translator of the world-famous Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, the founding leader of the Nepali Communist Movement, and the ideological pioneer of the Left-Democratic United People's Movement.
Even before the establishment of the Communist Party of Nepal under the leadership of Pushpalal, there were communist leaders and cadres in Nepal. However, the communist movement did not have a systematic political and organizational shape.
Under the leadership of Comrade Pushpalal, the institutional beginning of the communist movement, an in-depth analysis of the current state of society, the idea, philosophy and organization to guide Nepali society and politics took place.
Pushpalal made the end of feudalism and the establishment of a republic a political objective, putting forward systematic ideological guidance on the state of Nepal in terms of ideas, what should be done in Nepal and how to move forward. At the same time, he promoted the party as a synonym of social justice, equality and patriotic movement.
Pushpalal started a new real, revolutionary, transformative, scientific idea from the level of ideas, philosophy and social values. This is Pushpalal's first contribution to Nepali politics. He created the organization not only as an idea, but also in practice.
Pushpalal cannot be compared to any of the other contemporary leaders in the systematic idea of left-democratic movement and transformation, regardless of their political affiliation. This is Pushpalal's best side in Nepal's left democratic movement.
We have done important work on the way to realizing Pushpalal's dream. The divided communist movement has become united, nationwide and strong. The party has won a prominent position with a two-thirds majority. Today, we have largely fulfilled the organizational and political aspirations of Pushpalal.
The party is the means to make the country prosperous. At this time, it is inevitable that we move forward unitedly to make the country prosperous and the people happy by strengthening the party.
Therefore, we have put forward the national aspiration of prosperous Nepal-happy Nepalis. We are doing many things that we have not been able to do before. These are Pushpalal's policies in today's context.
Let's combine capital and technology in our efforts, increase production, increase exports, reduce imports. In this way we will achieve prosperity. And, today we are working hard for prosperity. It is now clear that the Communist Party government is moving forward by linking equality with prosperity.
Today's generation will remember Pushpalal's contribution by achieving equality with prosperity in their lives. Resolving to lead the country under the ideological guidance of Pushpalal, I pay my respects to him on the 42nd Memorial Day.
