A silent demonstration has been held in Kathmandu demanding an end to the attack and violence against doctors and health workers.

Demonstration was staged at Maitighar on Sunday against the attack on a doctor working at Birtamod-based Medical College in Jhapa. Doctors gathered at the Maitighar Mandal said the attack on the doctor, who was also working at risk in the Corona pandemic, was inhumane.

The doctors participating in the demonstration chanted slogans saying that the doctor is not God, they should work as much as they can with their intellect, the doctor does not make mistakes knowingly, but the work of imprisoning the doctor should be stopped. Demonstrations were held from Maitighar to New Baneshwor.

A medical officer working in the emergency department of Jhapa Medical Hospital, Dr. Sudhakar Jha was assaulted by the relatives of the patient.

Instead of shouting at the patient's relatives at the emergency gate and wearing a mask, the patient's relatives took the same thing. Jha says. Jha informed that he has come to Kathmandu for further treatment as he sustained eye injuries in the incident.

Vigyan Rai, 8, of Buttabari in Birtamod Municipality-6 was taken to hospital at 8 pm for treatment after breaking his arm. According to the hospital, the boy's hand was operated on and his condition was normal.

Similarly, health workers of Nepal Medical College Jorpati, Dharan and doctors of TRIV Teaching Hospital were attacked. A health worker from a far-western state was seriously injured and was treated at a trauma center.
