Problem solved by 'New Unity on New Basis'

Devendra Poudel, a member of the Standing Committee of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has said that a 'new unity on a new basis' is needed to solve the current problems within the party.

In an interview with Reporters Club Nepal in Kathmandu on Saturday, Poudel said that the meeting of the standing committee was postponed to resolve the problems within the party by doing "side homework" rather than continuing the formal meeting.

Poudel expressed his commitment not to allow the CPN (Maoist) to split under any circumstances. Stating that division was not acceptable to them under any circumstances, Poudel said that his friends from all over the country were working for party unity.

Poudel also pointed out the need to unite on a new basis to solve the problems in the party. Devendra Podel said that the party was looking for a new unity on a new basis due to the problems that appeared in the party unity after the formation of the government.

Poudel said that the party was already discussing about 'one person, one post' and added that there was no need to embarrass them to implement it today.

Poudel also clarified that the prime minister and chairman KP Sharma Oli and another chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal have the main responsibility to solve the current problems within the party.
