Foreign media should stay within the moral boundaries

Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada has said that domestic and foreign media should live within the moral boundaries.

Receiving  the memorandum submitted by Nepal Media Society, Broadcasting Association of Nepal (BAN) at Singha Durbar on Sunday, Minister Khatiwada said that no media should go in an insulting manner.

Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada condemned the media reports and analyzes that have been done in a way that spreads malice, kills character and tarnishes the image of the people.

Khatiwada also requested not to disseminate news that would inflame the nation and nationality, sovereignty and self-respect of Nepalese.

Minister Khatiwada said that some people may be scared of the unity of Nepalese as they are fighting with natural calamities and updating the political map.

Minister Khatiwada said that the Indian media outlets that brought out fake and shaming content were shut down. These organizations have submitted a memorandum to the Minister of Communications demanding implementation of Clean Feed in foreign channels and regulation of foreign channels.
