'Public Service Commission Bill, 2076' passed unanimously

The meeting of the House of Representatives has unanimously passed the Public Service Commission Bill, 2076 BS.The bill presented by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Shivamaya Tumbahangphe on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was unanimously passed in the meeting on Tuesday.

Replying to a question raised by the lawmaker regarding the bill, Minister Dr Tumbahangphe expressed confidence that the bill would play a role in making the federal civil service efficient and transparent by making it clean and fair.

He informed that the bill covers issues such as making the method and system of written examination for government service, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and others fair and transparent and there should be no discrimination in the service.

The meeting has approved 'Nepal Special Services Bill, 2076'.The bill presented by the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahamphe on behalf of the Prime Minister was unanimously approved in the meeting.

Replying to a question raised by the lawmakers earlier, Minister Dr Tumbahamphe said that the bill has made special arrangements for the protection of Nepal's geographical integrity, national security and sovereignty.

During the discussion on the theoretical side of the bill, the participating lawmakers mentioned that the bill would be useful to make the role of the state effective. The meeting has passed the Federal, State and Local Level (Coordination and Interrelation) Bill, 2077 BS by a majority.
